2021 NASCAR Awards: Burnouts on Broadway

A little rain right before the start wasn't enough to stop the NASCAR Champions Awards Burnouts on Broadway, which kicked off the celebration Wednesday night.

The rain stopped just in time for thousands of fans to be treated to burnouts performed by NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson and the other 15 playoff drivers along with NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Daniel Hemric, Camping World Truck Series champion Ben Rhodes and ARCA Menards Champion Ty Gibbs.

Fans even got to see an Air Titan in action. That's NASCAR's track dryer, which got the streets in prime condition for the drivers to lay down some rubber.

The night was capped off with a huge fireworks display

The burnouts were not broadcast live but will air Saturday on NBCSN from 6-8 p.m. with hosts Kyle Petty and Rutledge Wood.

The spectacle under the lights leads up to the awards ceremony which is Thursday at the Music City Center beginning at 7 p.m.
