2021 District 3 bowling singles tournament at a glance

Feb. 26—WHEN, Where — Saturday, noon, Hiester Lanes, Reading.

Format: Each of the 24 boys and 24 girls will roll six games. The top six boys and girls will then qualify for the roll-off finals, with the top two qualifiers drawing byes.

Berks boys qualifiers: Riley Celmer, Muhlenberg; Alex Horton, Daniel Boone; Ayden Davis, Antietam; Ethan Reimert, Exeter; Derek Witkowski, Wilson; Keith Lerch, Exeter; Dean Fisher, Oley Valley; Kevin Zambito, Berks Catholic.

Boys storyline: Davis won the District 3 title last year as a freshman. Celmer posted the best average in the Berks League this season. BCIAA singles champion Adam Gehr of Wilson did not qualify.

Berks girls qualifiers: Camryn Brown, Gov. Mifflin; Sydney Binkley, Wilson; Emily Breidegam, Gov. Mifflin; Julia Mengel, Muhlenberg; Andria Addis, Gov. Mifflin; Megan Myers, Exeter; Frankie Kelly, Muhlenberg; Hailee Shollenberger, Exeter.

Girls storyline: Breidegam is a two-time District 3 champion, winning in 2018 and last year. Addis won the BCIAA singles title earlier this week. Brown had the best average in the Berks League this season.
