Here’s how it works.
Before you can checkout an item, you’ll be asked to complete a short consultation that dives pretty deep into your hair history and lifestyle. For example, I was asked questions about my age, diet, hair texture, scalp condition, hair thickness, length and hair routine. And based on this information, Prose will prepare a “freshly made mix” of hair products and send them to you with tailored instructions on how to use them.
Additionally, you’ll get a list of recommended ingredients that would be most beneficial for your hair concerns.
Not to mention, the company prides itself on using natural ingredients. In fact, all of its products are free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oils, GMOs.
From hair masks to shampoos to hair brushes, we like that there’s a variety of haircare items to use. Although some items are on the pricey side — a 1.7 ounce of the hair oil is $48 — the customization is a tremendous plus.
That customization was emphasized in a statement on the company’s website: “We believe everyone deserves extraordinary care and that making things custom is the only way to give everyone their best individual results.”
While Prose is a subscription service, its products are also available for a one-time purchase as well.
