Needy dog crashes at-home weather forecast and becomes internet sensation: 'No choice but to stan'

Working from home is difficult, especially when your job requires you to be on camera.

For proof of this, look no further than meteorologist Paul Dellegatto. While he was delivering a live weather forecast from home on April 16, his dog Brody decided to join him and ask for some pets.

“The maps aren’t gonna move because he just whacked the computer with his head,” an exasperated Dellegatto tells both viewers and the cameraman filming from outside. “That wasn’t very smart,” he then says to Brody, who has no idea what he’s saying.

“Didn’t mean to keep you up,” Dellegatto jokes when Brody yawns during his forecast. “Next time, buddy, we’re gonna eat after this.”

Just when Dellegatto thinks he’s in the clear, Brody strolls over to the window and tries to say hi to the cameraman, Craig, who’s stationed outside.

“He’s jumping up looking for Craig outside the window,” Dellegatto says as Brody takes over the screen.

“We don’t need to see that forecast map. We’ll just look at Brody,” one of Dellegatto’s coworkers says jokingly.

A clip of this hilarious moment posted to Twitter by reporter Andrew Feinberg has already received more than 175,000 likes.

In the comments, people joked that they have “no choice but to stan.”

“Why have we been doing news any other way? What idiocy made us build sterile studios?” one person joked. “I want to see everyone in their pajamas with their pets and a glass of wine telling me how stupid everything is.”

“Things that are awesome about this: 1. He clearly loves Brody even when the dog is disruptive. 2. Physical distancing with Craig via the window. 3. Craig knows what content we want and focuses on the dog,” another person added.

Even “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill chimed in, writing, “One of the only things I like about the lockdown is being able to see what everybody’s homes look like. That, & dogs photobombing the weather report, of course.”

Many eagle-eyed viewers were quick to point out an easy-to-miss detail about Dellegatto’s at-home set-up: On his desk, he has a framed photo of Brody.

“You don’t truly love your pets if you don’t have prominently displayed, framed pictures of them in your house,” one person joked.

Thank you for the laughs, Brody.
