Restaurant offers to create unusual photos for teens missing prom

Many high schoolers sadly won't be able to attend prom this year because of social distancing guidelines, but an unlikely hero has appeared to lift their spirits: Olive Garden.

The Italian-American restaurant chain announced a campaign to help students celebrate their proms that never were.

Olive Garden called for teens to send in photos of their prom groups in their finest formal attire.

In turn, the restaurant will Photoshop custom photos for them, complete with iconic Olive Garden imagery, like a bouquet of breadsticks.

"With photo backdrops inspired by popular prom themes and featuring breadstick walls and mint garlands, it will look just like you were all at prom together," a representative for the company said in a statement given to Mashable. "The photo fun is also available for the kids-at-heart because, let’s face it, we could all dust off our old prom outfits right now and share some laughs."

You can submit your own photos by tweeting at Olive Garden with the hashtag #OliveGardenProm.

The restaurant is only offering these custom photos until May, so get your gang together (virtually) for a prom photo you'll never forget.
