Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow shares unseen private footage of late dad

Meadow Rain Walker, the 21-year-old daughter of late actor Paul Walker, shared footage on Instagram of a tender moment with her father. The sweet video shows Walker reacting to a much younger Meadow surprising him for his birthday.

“Happy birthday!” Meadow exclaims in the clip.

Walker is clearly startled by her but appears filled with genuine excitement when he realizes she’s there to surprise him.

“You just scared the hell out of me,” Paul says as Meadow collapses into his arms and the two fall on the bed in a warm embrace. “What are you doing? No way.”

It’s a short glimpse of their father-daughter relationship, one that Meadow has largely kept private until now.

“I never thought I’d share this. But it felt right. Be good. I love you. Stay safe,” Walker wrote in the caption of the video.

Paul Walker died unexpectedly in a car crash in November 2013, just weeks after his daughter’s 15th birthday. He was only 40 years old.

Meadow has used her father’s legacy as an opportunity to help others by creating the Paul Walker Foundation. Last month, she revealed the foundation would be working with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to provide free meals to children affected by the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Throughout the pandemic, Meadow has been using her voice to encourage others to stay home and flatten the curve.

“Please stay home,” she previously wrote on Instagram. “This protects not only you, but everyone around you. We need to lookout for each other during this time. And all times.”
