If you’re struggling to deal with over-processed hair, welcome to the club.

And now that many of us are isolated in quarantine, it’s hard not to obsess over our hair’s imperfections. Maybe you feel it’s too dry from all the past heat or you notice there’s a considerable amount of breakage. Whatever those hair insecurities are, now’s the perfect time to give your hair some love and hopefully, get it looking fab for when you’re able to venture out the house again.

One mask that seems to have impressed a lot of shoppers is the It’s a 10 Miracle Mask Deep Conditioner. It was created to help support color-treated and over-processed hair. And according to the product description, its main purpose is to help “enhance softness and smoothness.”

Shop: It’s a 10 Miracle Mask Deep Conditioner, $52.99

It contains four key ingredients including: oat kernel extract, apricot kernel oil, sweet almond oil and linseed extract. The oat kernel, specifically, contains “antioxidants, emulsifiers, moisturizers, strengtheners, and restructuring capabilities” and is what helps make hair soft and smooth.

Plus, it’s versatile. You can use it both as a deep conditioning treatment mask or daily conditioner. To use as a mask, leave it in for three to five minutes under heat — although some buyers have left it in for longer. And for daily use, leave it in for two to three minutes before rinsing.

Although the mask is on the pricer side, you do get 17.5 ounces worth of product. There’s also an eight-ounce version available for $31.99 at Ulta Beauty if you don’t think you’ll need a full 17.5 ounces. By contrast, an 8.5-ounce bottle of the Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 — another highly-rated hair treatment mask — is available for $56.00 at Sephora.

Like any hair product, results can be subjective. However, many shoppers who dye their hair expressed their satisfaction with this mask.

“My hair was bleached 3 times in a short period of time,” one reviewer wrote. “Hair was really dry and felt terrible after getting out of the shower. After using this just one time, my hair is silky and smooth. I will be using this all the time now!”

Another buyer pointed out how they experienced results over a few uses. “Wasn’t too wowed after the first use, but by the 3rd use my hair looks and feels so much healthier! It’s softer, feels more light weight, and has a healthy shine to it. Will definitely be buying again and would recommend. I have naturally thick dirty blonde hair that I dye light blonde, and I use a very strong purple shampoo that dries out my hair and this combated that!

And while one reviewer didn’t experience quick results at first, their efforts were not in vain.

“I am a hair snob (like give me Olaplex, redken..etc). The first time I tried this it helped me hair but it wasnt anything too special,” one buyer wrote. “I bought it again and gave it another try. This time I brushed it into my damp hair (after shampoo-ing) and let it sit for 30-45 minutes. My hair literally felt like silky soft angel hair afterwards and that is saying something for my processed blonde hair.”
