Throughout the first generation the Ford Mustang, a car that started off as a small light sports car with a large powerful engine, was ever evolving into a larger car more centered around luxury options.

This ever changing trend peaked in 1971 with a major redesign and would ultimately prove to be the end of the first generation Mustang. Albeit heavier and slower than ever before, the final three years of the original pony car still had a lot to offer. These cars were revered for their styling, well put together interiors, and good driver options.

Vicari Auctions is offering an awesome opportunity to get behind the wheel of one of the better optioned examples from the last year of the first generation Mustang. This example features a Black exterior with contrasting side stripes and a Black convertible top.

Under the hood is a well organized 351-cid engine topped with a blue factory style air-intake and paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. Inside continues the trend started with the exterior and under-hood compartment. The well laid out and well taken care of cockpit features a black dash, white upholstered seats, and subtle wood grain accents, all with minimum amounts of wear. Other features include power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, and a tachometer. While the actual mileage of this beautiful 1973 Mustang is for certain, judging on its condition and history, it is believed to be around 90K-miles.
