At least 19 restaurants opened around Sacramento in November, adding tastes of cuisines such as Italian, Filipino and Southern to the Capital region’s dining scene.

The list includes a handful of restaurants around the Sacramento city core — midtown, Mansion Flats, Southside Park — and several in more suburban neighborhoods.

Elk Grove added three new restaurants, while Roseville got two more. Auburn, Davis, Folsom, Galt, Granite Bay, Lincoln and Rancho Cordova had one addition apiece to their local dining scenes.

Betty Wine Bar & Bottle Shop (1103 T St., Sacramento): Inspired by their grandmothers’ “gracious, unfussy hospitality,” Colleen Kretchmer and Tyler Stacy opened their Southside Park wine bar with salads, sandwiches and charcuterie boards on Nov. 17.

Brick & Barrel (155 Joiner Parkway, Lincoln): Wesley Metcalf’s pizzeria and sports bar opened Nov. 2, with loaded tater tots, pecan praline root beer floats and a pleasant outdoor patio.

Dah Bao (2880 5th St., Suite 140, Davis): Veggie and pork buns, beef noodle soup and zhajiangmian (noodles in fried bean sauce, a Beijing specialty) are among the fortes at Hal Zhang’s new Chinese restaurant and boba shop, which opened Nov. 1.

Fiesta Philippines (11088 Olson Drive, Suite A, Rancho Cordova): Fiesta offers a deep roster of Filipino dishes including sinigang na bangus (sour milkfish soup), carne salpicao (cubed beef tenderloin in brown gravy) and dinuguan (pork blood and offal stew).

Garden of Eat’n (2000 Blue Oaks Blvd., Suite 110, Roseville): West Roseville marks the fourth location for this sandwich and salad shop, all in Placer County. The others are Roseville’s Creekside Town Center and Local Kitchens food hall, plus the original Auburn restaurant in The Plaza shopping center.

GK Mongolian BBQ (1335 Florin Road, Sacramento): Roseville and Rocklin residents might be familiar with GK’s Placer County locations, but the all-you-can-eat Mongolian barbecue restaurant has only been open in South Land Park since Nov. 1.

Golden Biryanis Indian Cuisine (1167 Riley St., Folsom): Golden Biryanis makes an assortment of regional specialties from across India, including dal tadka (North Indian), chicken chettinad (South Indian) and hakka noodles (Indo-Chinese).

Ippolito’s Trattoria (9500 Micron Ave., Suite 128, Sacramento): Nickolas and Sabrina Ippolito’s Rosemont restaurant serves up Italian specialties such as osso bucco-stuffed ravioli, prosciutto-wrapped prawns and housemade gnocchi in a Gorgonzola cream sauce.

La Popular (234 Gibson Drive, Suite 120, Roseville): This higher-end, Mexico City-based concept picked Roseville’s Highland Village shopping center for its first U.S. expansion, in part because its sister restaurant (Eureka) sits next door.

Mizuki Sushi (7440 Laguna Blvd., Suite 98, Elk Grove): A Citrus Heights favorite, Mizuki brought its bento boxes, nigiri and wide range of rolls to the Laguna Pavilion shopping center.

Oishii Teriyaki (125 Dolores Drive, Auburn): This West Sacramento-based Japanese restaurant added a second restaurant on Nov. 7 in Auburn, which also serves moderately-priced sushi, katsu and teriyaki dishes.

Roc & Sol Virtual Diner (1825 10th St., Sacramento): Brothers Fred and Matt Haines (Suzie Burger, Wildwood Kitchen & Bar, 33rd Street Bistro) opened their eclectic late-night diner and esports lounge at the mouth of the R Street Corridor on Nov. 2.

Skip’s Fish & Chicken (8469 Elk Grove Blvd., Suite 8, Elk Grove): This casual fried chicken and fish spot opened its fourth area location, following restaurants in south Sacramento, Natomas and Arden Arcade.

Taste Buds BBQ (601 15th St., Sacramento): Dimitrious and Jacqueline Foster, both raised in the South and former showrunners at Jazzy Jacks Barbecue pop-up and catering, opened their new Southern restaurant where Sandra Dee’s Bar-B-Que & Seafood once was in Mansion Flats.

Vechos Eatery & Taphouse (5540 Douglas Blvd., Suite 140, Granite Bay): Kevin Ramos, whose family owns the Casa Ramos local chain, opened this new Italian American restaurant and bar where New Glory Eatery & Taproom once stood in Quarry Pond Town Center.

WeDaShii Sushi Bar & Lounge (1010 18th St., Sacramento): Ranee De La Cruz’s sushi bar and lounge, which has hosted customers in Arden Arcade since 2017, took over for the short-lived Fro’s Midtown on Nov. 3

West Coast Sourdough (10444 Twin Cities Road, Suite 10, Galt): This California sandwich chain opened its tenth area location in southern Sacramento County on Nov. 11; additional outposts are on their way in Placerville and west Roseville.

West Coast Taco Bar (8791 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove): Cynthia and Ivan Garcia’s taco truck concept, which Sacramento Bee readers once voted as maker of the region’s best burrito, found a brick-and-mortar home on Nov. 29. No relation to West Coast Sourdough.

YD To-Go Korean BBQ (8785 Center Parkway, Sacramento): Korean food lovers have long flocked to YD Tofu Houses in South Land Park and Rosemont; now there’s a to-go option near Bruceville and Sheldon roads’ intersection, with items such as samgye-tang (ginseng chicken soup) and jokbal (braised pig trotters).
