While Audrey is out for afternoon tea with her friends, she crosses paths with Claudia and Charles. Rita also remembers that it was Audrey's birthday recently.

Audrey confides in her friends about how she recently tried to take her own life. Her loved ones are shocked and the moment is interrupted by a waiter, who arrives with a cake and sings Happy Birthday.

Sue Nicholls, who plays Audrey, recently spoke about the importance of covering this story with her character.

She said: "Dr Gaddas prescribed her antidepressants but yet again her stubbornness kicks in and she doesn't take them. Luckily talking to her long standing friends, they persuade her to take the doctor's advice and she thanks them sincerely for making life seem lighter in every way.

"Now that is the message that I want people to take away from this storyline, the importance of being able to talk to people you trust about how you feel."

Stephen, who's struggling financially, tells Audrey that now would be a good time to sign the trust fund paperwork. Audrey declines, insisting that there's no rush.

Finally taking the hint after Faye's hostile reaction, Craig asks if he should move back in with his mum. Faye tells him to do as he pleases, so Craig packs his bags.
