'10 nice years.' Aidy Bryant made it official (sort of): She is leaving 'SNL'

Aidy Bryant made it official.

More or less.

Bryant, who is from Phoenix, is leaving "Saturday Night Live." During the show's season finale Saturday, she got a sweet, subtle send-off.

During the "Weekend Update" segment, Bryant, along with Bowen Yang, reprised their Trend Forecasters characters. Toward the end of the bit, as they commented on what was in and out, Bryant said, "In: 10 nice years."

It was a clear allusion to her "SNL" career; she joined the show in 2012.

Yang then said, "In: A friend I couldn't have done this without."

Both of their voices cracked, just a bit.

A few seconds later Bryant said, "In: My best guys kissing me." And Yang and Michael Che kissed her on the cheek.

Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon and Kyle Mooney are also leaving the show, high-profile exits that will change "Saturday Night Live" considerably going into its next season. Reports that the cast members would leave began circulating Friday.

Bryant joined the show in 2012, and has received two Emmy nominations for her acting there, in addition to a nomination for co-writing a song for the show. She has also gotten an Emmy nomination for best actress for the comedy series "Shrill," on which she also served as a writer and producer.

She played a host of characters on "SNL," including Meghan McCain who, like Bryant, attended Xavier College Preparatory High School in Phoenix, as well as Sen. Ted Cruz and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the former White House Press Secretary under Donald Trump.
