A shooting in central Phoenix left one person dead and two others injured in the early morning hours on Saturday, according to police.

Phoenix police officers responded to calls of a shooting in the area of 1500 West Taylor Street shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Feb 4. Officers found three men with gunshot wounds upon arrival, police said.

One of the men, later identified as Manuel Reyes, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The two other men also were taken to a local hospital but did not have life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Authorities said a woman was involved in the incident but was not harmed.

Officers believed the shooting was the result of a confrontation between those involved outside of a house. Multiple suspects began shooting at the victims during the argument, police said. The shooters fled the scene before officers arrived.

Police were still investigating the details about what led up to the shooting.

Members of the public with information about the shooting can contact the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6151 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish speakers.
