1 killed, 2 hurt in rollover crash

One man was killed and two juveniles injured in a rollover crash just before 3 a.m. Sunday at Davie Boulevard and State Road 7, a Broward Fire Rescue spokesman said.

Few details were available Sunday about the identities of the crash victims or what might have caused the collision between the navy Ford truck and silver Infiniti sedan.

The driver of the truck was killed and the two people in the sedan are expected to survive, Battalion Chief Michael Kane said.

The front end of the Infiniti sat in the road Sunday, a heap of mangled metal. The truck sat on its side nearby.

Two deputies held up a yellow tarp in front of the cab to shield the body from the view of people passing by.

A family gathered in the shade outside the Seminole smoke shop, hugging and consoling one other as crews lifted the truck.

Rescue crews took the two people injured in the crash to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Kane said.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office traffic homicide unit is handling the accident investigation, Kane said.
