'You’re not alone' - Carrie Fisher's daughter sends love to those grieving during the holidays

Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd sent love to anybody grieving a loss as she remembered her mum three years after her death.

Star Wars actress Fisher died on December 27, 2016, days after falling ill on a flight from London to Los Angeles.

Fisher’s mother Debbie Reynolds – Lourd’s grandmother – died the following day.

On Boxing Day, Lourd shared a picture on Instagram of herself as a baby, being held by her mother and with her grandmother looking on.

She wrote: “Happy holidays! (But also sad/emotional/weird/stressful holidays!)

“Sending my love to everyone who has lost someone they loved and is missing them a little extra today.

“I see you.

“It’s okay if everything ain’t all merry and bright. It can be a mix of all of it.

“And it’s all okay. Feel all the feelings - the good and the not so good.”

The actress advised: “Eat something delish they used to love.

“Put on one of their favorite songs.

“Tell a story about them.

“Cry about them.

“Call one of their friends you haven’t talked to in a while.”

She added: “Be kind and patient with yourself. Don’t grieve in silence. You’re not alone.”

Lourd often remembers Fisher and Reynolds on special days, posting tributes and pictures on social media on birthdays and anniversaries.

The actress is known for her roles in Scream Queens and anthology series American Horror Story.

She has also followed in her mum’s footsteps by landing a role in the Star Wars saga, playing Lieutenant Connix in the latest trilogy of films.
