Zumbrota police looking for parents of found child

Apr. 22—ZUMBROTA, Minn. — Zumbrota police know the identity of a found child, but are now looking for her parents.

At about 10 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2024, Zumbrota Police Department answered a call regarding a 4-year-old child who was found, according to a post by the department on social media.

According to the post, the child, who appeared to have been outside for "some time," was found this morning. She has brown eyes, curly brown hair and was wearing a pink T-shirt and diaper. The child may be nonverbal.

Initially, the police did not know the child's identity, but learned it by about 11 a.m. ZPD along with the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office are attempting to locate parents.
