Zoe Saldaña says it'd be "huge loss" if Guardians don't return

Zoe Saldaña has weighed in on the future of Guardians of the Galaxy following the third film, saying she hopes the gang of space antiheroes will return in some capacity.
The Avatar star is known for playing Gamora in the film trilogy co-written and directed by James Gunn.
After what is understood to be her final appearance in the role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 last year, Saldaña has said she feels strongly about Gamora returning to the MCU even if she isn't.

"I mean, so far, I think that she is [gone for good] for me, but I don't think Gamora has gone for good," she told The Playlist on its The Discourse podcast.
"I would think it would be a huge loss for Marvel if they didn't find a way to bring back the Guardians of the Galaxy," she continued.
The star praised Gunn's writing, but with the filmmaker now co-CEO of DC Studios and leading the hotly anticipated Superman: Legacy, it seems unlikely Gunn will be involved in a possible new Guardians story.

"It's just such a fan-favourite group of misfits, you know? And then at the helm, they had a voice like James Gunn's writing—which is just so marvellous for and very specific for this genre. And it's so great for this genre as well," Saldaña said.
The actress confirmed she is down to support the Guardians in a potential new adventure as an audience member, saying: "So, I would be the first one in the first row to sort of celebrate when the Guardians of the Galaxy come back."
