Zelenskyy to visit France on D-Day anniversary — report

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to visit France for the anniversary of Allied Normandy landings in June 1944, and will attend the G7 summit in Italy, Politico reported on May 22.
According to the publication, the Ukrainian president will seek greater support from the West and will advocate for NATO forces to intercept Russian cruise missiles over Ukraine, drawing a parallel to the U.S. and UK efforts during Iran's recent attack on Israel.
Zelenskyy is also expected to push for the United States and European countries to seize frozen Russian assets to help finance the "defense and subsequent reconstruction of Ukraine."

He will be present in France for the anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy, which will be attended by world leaders including U.S. President Joe Biden. Following this, Zelenskyy will head to Italy for the G7 summit, scheduled for June 13-15.
On May 15, Kyiv cancelled Zelenskyy’s visit to Spain and Portugal as the situation on the battlefield became more challenging for Ukraine after Russia launched a new cross-border assault on Kharkiv.
