Quote: "I have held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. The main issue is Kharkiv, the city's defence from Russian strikes and the possibility of strengthening our air defence and electronic warfare in Kharkiv Oblast.

The military presented reports on the physical protection of energy assets and on the effectiveness of shooting down drones and missiles. Our diplomats will have separate tasks to work with partners to secure new air defence systems for Ukraine.

I am grateful to everyone in the government and [the authorities] in Kharkiv and Kharkiv Oblast doing their best to restore the opportunity for people to live a normal life."

Details: President Zelenskyy noted that Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, presented an update on the situation in the main combat areas where Ukraine's defence forces hold their ground.

The president added that intelligence and special services are developing new steps to reduce Russia's war potential.

Updated: Zelenskyy also reported that he held a meeting on the situation in the city of Kharkiv with Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, ministers and the team of the Office of the President.

Zelenskyy added that a timeframe of when the energy deficit in Kharkiv may be reduced was presented. The government is reportedly preparing the measures of economic support for Kharkiv and Kharkiv Oblast.
