Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a significant visit to Khmelnytskyi, where he met with wounded soldiers at a local hospital, as announced on Telegram on May 3.

During his visit, Zelenskyy awarded state honors to the soldiers and expressed his gratitude, both to them for their bravery and to the medical staff for their ongoing efforts.

The president's trip also included a series of security briefings focused on the region's defense strategies, particularly concerning the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant and the repair of energy facilities damaged in Russian attacks.

Zelenskyy visited frontline positions in Avdiyivka, Donetsk Oblast, on April 18.

On the same day, Zelenskyy traveled to Dnipro for a working visit, where he addressed the aftermath of a Russian strike on a residential building, underscoring the continued focus on national security and resilience amid ongoing conflicts.
