Zelenskyy appoints new Khmelnytskyi governor

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Serhii Tyurin as the head of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast State Administration on May 2, the corresponding decree on Presidential Office site said.

Tyurin was the first deputy of Khmelnytskyi Oblast State Administration Head, Serhiy Hamaliy, who was dismissed by Zelenskyy on March 15, 2023, therefore, he has acted as Khmelnytskyi governor since March 16, 2023.

Serhii Tyurin - biography

Serhii Tyurin was born on Dec. 29, 1971. He graduated Khmelnytskyi Oblast Administration and Law Institute in 2001. Tyurin began practicing law in 2004.

He became the first deputy of the then Khmelnytskyi Oblast State Administration head, Serhiy Hamaliy in Dec. 2020.
