Zaporizhzhya residents recount latest Russian mass attack
Residents of Zaporizhzhya shared their experiences of living through the Russian mass missile attack on March 22, on national television.
"I was in bed, and my husband was getting ready for work," said one resident.
“And then he came running in: ‘Honey, are you alive?’ and I said: ‘Yes, I'm alive’. Then we hear a scream: ‘People, help’.”

One of the residents said a missile had hit her apartment: the balcony was completely destroyed, and her doors and ceilings were smashed.
Another woman said that, at first, the strikes could have been mistaken for fireworks, or some kind of show. But reality quickly set in.
"It was so fast... It was just terrifying," she recounted.

Russia conducted a mass missile and drone attack against Ukraine on March 22, with a special focus on targeting energy infrastructure.
Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 92 out of 151 targets: 55 Shahed-136/131 UAVs and 37 missiles.
In total, Russian forces launched 12 missile attacks on Zaporizhzhya, destroying seven buildings and damaging a further 35.
Police reported a "complete restriction" of traffic on the Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Plant dam. The advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko, said that the Russians had struck the dam directly.
Critical infrastructure facilities were also hit in Kryvyi Rih. Rolling blackouts have been introduced in the city to compensate for the lack of power.

Energy company DTEK announced the introduction of emergency blackouts in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
Kharkiv has been nearly completely without power after the Russian military carried out more than 15 attacks on its power facilities.
