Zanilia Zhao wins TV Queen on birthday
19 Oct - It was the most meaningful birthday gift for actress Zanilia Zhao, who recently won Favourite TV Actress at the China TV Golden Eagle Awards for her role in "The Journey of Flower".
As reported on Liberty Times News, the actress, who won the award for the first time, successfully defeated other worthy contenders, including fan favourite, "Nirvana in Fire" star Liu Tao.
Zanilia also turned 29 the same day, and celebrated her birthday that night with her staff, who surprised her with a small but meaningful birthday party at her hotel room.
She later shared her thoughts about her victory at the Golden Eagle online, saying, "I hope I can continue to be strong, to do shows that I love and entertain people. I will continue to be determined and persistent to be my own person."
Meanwhile, sources claimed that the actress deserves to win, after working hard for the last 10 months with only five days of rest.
