Zac Efron Shares First Photo of Himself as Serial Killer Ted Bundy: 'Meet Ted'

Zac Efron is no more.

The actor took to Instagram on Wednesday to share the first photo of himself in character as Ted Bundy. Efron plays the serial killer in the upcoming film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.

The zoomed-out, black and white photo features Efron, 30, posing for a mugshot as Bundy in front of a white screen inside a studio.

“Meet Ted,” he captioned the shot, adding the hashtag “behind the scenes.”

In the photo, Efron is seen wearing a white shirt tucked into high-waisted black pants.

The upcoming thriller will chronicle Bundy’s crimes from the perspective of his longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer, portrayed by Lily Collins.

Collins, 28, also took to social media to reveal a picture of herself in character.

“Meet Liz,” she captioned the photo.

Bundy was convicted of killing and raping several women in the ’70s. He was executed in Florida on Jan. 24, 1989 after confessing to 30 homicides committed across seven states between 1974 and 1978.

Directed by Joe Berlinger, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil does not yet have a release date.
