YouTubers help in search for missing Kansas women

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The search for Jillian Kelley and Veronica Butler continues, as the two were last heard from on March 30.

KSN News has a crew in the area, traveling through several towns between Kansas and Oklahoma. Every person wants to see Butler and Kelley found safe.

The main issue with the search is there is so much ground to cover.

Hugoton filled with hope, grief over missing women

Two true-crime YouTubers, known by their channel “Rock_Chalk_Jayhawks,” recently searched an abandoned home, saying someone sent them a tip about checking a property in that area.

They said there are a lot of questions from people about why more isn’t being released from law enforcement. They don’t want to get in the way but understand the frustration of wanting more answers.

“Where the public and their families and we want answers like yesterday, the next day, and that not the way it works, her and I understand that,” Kari Moody said.

Another one of the YouTubers asked not to have her name released.

“They could be anywhere, and like, in this property back here, it’s abandoned, but there’s a well back there. It’s not covered. It’s pretty big, so I got down in there and looked. You never know where they could be,” she said.

Both say they plan to stay and will help with searching for the two women as long as they can afford.

KSN News reached out to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for an on-camera interview, but they declined.
