YouTuber Logan Paul faces fresh backlash as more controversial Japan videos emerge
American YouTuber Logan Paul hit the headlines earlier this week after he uploaded a now-deleted vlog that featured the corpse of a suicide victim in Japan’s Aokigahara Forest, a famous suicide spot.
In the controversial footage, Logan and his friends appear to make light of the incredibly upsetting situation, even joking about whether they’d seen a dead body before as Logan zoomed in on the body and commented that the deceased person’s hands look “purple”.
As well as the YouTube community, Logan was slammed by celebrities – including fellow YouTuber PewDiePie, Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, and Game Of Thrones’ actress Sophie Turner – who also criticised Logan’s “self-praising apology” that he had released in the wake of the backlash.
However, the controversy is far from over, with Twitter account We The Unicorn sharing a video montage featuring other moments from Logan’s trip to Japan, proving that the ‘Suicide Forest’ video was not his only controversial moment.
Editing together a series of shocking moments that feature in Logan’s own Japan vlogs, We The Unicorn wrote: “Turns out Logan Paul’s trip to Japan was problematic for many reasons.”
In the two minute and 15 second clip, Logan and his friends can be seen throwing Pokemon Poke-balls at cars and members of the public, smashing up a Gameboy before complaining to a shopkeeper that it is faulty, and seemingly mocking Japanese culture as he donned traditional garments, repeatedly stating that it’s “important not to disrespect the culture”:

The tweet immediately went viral, with people calling for Logan to be banned from YouTube following his controversial and insensitive behaviour:
I can't believe this, just when I thought Logan Paul showing the dead body of someone who just committed suicide & made jokes next to them was the most disrespectful & disgusting thing, I saw what else he was doing to disrespect Japan. It seems all he is, is disrespectful & rude https://t.co/V8gcd8jOXL

Hey @YouTube Please do the right thing with respect to Japanese and Asian people like me and my 11 year old who watches YouTube at her school. Do not allow @LoganPaul to profit from his arrogance and racism. DO BETTER

Between the shocking suicide forest video & the grossly inappropriate Tokyo video, I've hopped right on the @LoganPaul shame train. So much disrespect & appalling behavior. The worst part of all is that some of his followers don't think there was anything wrong with it. #Weak

Been a full week since @LoganPaul uploaded his suicide video. Guess who still hasn't held him accountable? Oh right. #YouTube . Because youtube won't hold him accountable right? I'm still waiting for a response, @TeamYouTube

Hey world. If you didn’t know, @LoganPaul has always been disrespectful and racist towards Asians.
This is nothing new. Sadly. pic.twitter.com/Gq1OIbUuoX

It’s bad enough that Logan Paul was disrespectful in Suicide Forest but the rest of his footage from Japan is equally disrespectful and proves why the West is frowned upon. What an absolute cock.
