Youth arts festival gearing up for showcase at Berkeley Springs’ Ice House

BERKEKEY SPRINGS, W.Va. (DC News Now) — Students in Morgan County are honing their creativity for Friday night’s Youth Art Show performance at the historic Ice House.

Performances will feature a choral choir, dance, piano recital, a ukulele group and even some rock renditions to salute such icons such as Tom Petty and David Byrne.

One first grader, Ashton, will display his talent on the fiddle and banjo.

“We’ll showcase youth art ranging from elementary to high school,” said Jordan Warren, with the Morgan Arts Council. “They are the future. These guys could be our next up and coming artists that we see in our households, art, everywhere.”

There is no charge to attend the event Friday evening at 6 p.m.
