Yoshida Miwa marries Juon

22 Mar – Dreams Come True vocalist Yoshida Miwa has married Kamata Juon from rock band Fuzzy Control, with an age gap of 19 years.

According to Tokyo Hive, Yoshida made the announcement on her official blog that they had registered their marriage earlier this month on 8 March, which also falls on Juon's birthday.

"We don't know where this door will lead us, but while holding dear to the music that we both love, I want to take a step forward while carrying the courage and love I received from my family, friends, Masa-san, and of course, everyone," she wrote in her announcement.

This is Yoshida's second marriage. Her first was to director Sueda Takahashi in 2003 but he passed away in 2007 due to a tumour.

Fuzzy Control had previously recorded cover versions of Dreams Come True singles such as "Good Bye My School Days" and "Sono Saki e" which were also featured in the respective singles.

The band is also under the same management agency as the pop group, DCT Entertainment, and both groups had toured together where the relationship between Yoshida and Kamata had believed to deepen.

Meanwhile, the other half of Dreams Come True, Nakamura Masato, congratulated the two newlyweds.

"You two are blessed by the music Gods. I know that you will be able to spend every single day surrounded by smiles and the music you create," he said.

There are currently no plans to hold a wedding ceremony or reception.
