All-Star catcher Brian McCann left Atlanta in 2013 for the blazingly bright lights and bigger paycheck offered by the New York Yankees. Now he’s selling one of his primary remaining ties to the Atlanta area, his luxe home in Suwanee, GA, home.

The six-bedroom, six-bathroom home sits on roughly three-quarters of an acre and is listed for $2,450,000.

The place features vaulted wood beam ceilings, a kitchen showcasing granite and brick, and travertine, brick, and wood flooring.

The main-floor master suite has his-and-her bathrooms and closets. A terrace level has a media room with built-in showcases for trophies—a nice plus just in case another star athlete is interested in the property.

A wine cellar, bar, game room, and rec room with fireplace round out the entertainment portion of the home. Peggy Pfohl is the listing agent.

McCann started with the Atlanta Braves in 2005 and became the first player in franchise history to hit a home run during his first playoff series at-bat. He was also the first Brave to be picked for the National League All-Star team his first three full seasons in Major League Baseball.

In late 2013, McCann signed a five-year, $85 million contract to play with the Yankees. At the time, he kept his Suwanee home and even talked to the NY Daily News about cooking out there on his first road visit back to Atlanta with the Yankees.

If McCann can sell his home for the asking price, it will be more a single than a home run for him. Records indicate the home last sold in 2008 for $2,400,000.
