York Revolution adds two pitchers to 2024 roster

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – The York Revolution announced the addition of left-handed pitcher Ethan Lindow and right-handed pitcher Adam Stauffer to the 2024 lineup on Monday evening.

25-year-old Lindow has spent the past six seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies and Seattle Mariners organizations. For the past two seasons, Lindow has played in Double-A.

The Locust, Georiga native was a fifth-round pick from high school in 2017. In 2019, Lindow was crowned the Phillies Minor League Pitcher of The Year. This came after a rookie performance featuring a 2.52 ERA and 119 strikeouts between Low and High-A.

Lindow has started 88 career games and owns a 3.53 ERA and a 3.36 strikeout-to-walk ratio. In 2023 Lindow was traded to Seattle and finished the season with 14 starts on the Arkansas Travelers.

“(Lindow’s) the type of guy you throw out there every fifth day and gives you a chance to win because he pounds the zone,” said Revolution manager Rick Forney. “There’s definitely some upside to this guy… I think he’s got a chance to hopefully pitch himself back to a Major League organization.”

Stauffer is coming to York after a six-season stint with the Baltimore Orioles organization. The 25-year-old was selected by Baltimore in the 2017 draft in the 19th round from Coatesville High School. The Coatesville, Pennsylvania native reached Double-A Bowie in 2022 and owns a career 3.25 ERA, and has struck out an average of 10.5 batters per nine innings.

“(Stauffer’s) a guy who never really failed in minor league baseball,” Forney said. “It adds contrast to your pitching staff when you can add someone of that size, it gives people a different look.”

The York Revolution now has ten players signed to the 2024 squad. The Revolution will kick off their season on April 25 with a home game against the Hagerstown Flying Box Cars.
