Yolo coroner seeks to identify man found dead along railroad tracks in West Sacramento
The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to identify a man found dead near railroad tracks in a West Sacramento neighborhood earlier this month.
The man in his 70s was found April 16 near a grassy trail abutting Yolo and Mikon streets wearing a red, short-sleeved polo shirt and cutoff jeans. He only carried a receipt from a downtown Sacramento Taco Bell and wore a white metal bracelet around his left wrist, the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office said.
It’s unclear if the coroner has identified the cause and manner of death. A call to the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office was not immediately returned.
The man is described as 5 feet and 108 pounds with brown eyes and short gray hair, deputies said.
