Yogurt-Covered Pretzels Sold at Walmart, Target and More Recalled Due to Salmonella Risk

There’s a nationwide recall on confectionary products sold at Walmart, Target, HyVee, Dollar General and more, according to the Food and Drug Administration. This is due to a possible Salmonella contamination.

The affected products were recalled due to a supplier’s notice of the possible contamination sent to the impacted brand, Palmer Candy. These products include yogurt-covered pretzels, white fudge cookies, drizzled caramel corn and other “white-coated” snacks and desserts. Over 30 different products are being recalled in 17 states, including:

  • Caramel Swirl Pretzels (4-oz.) with best by dates 12/18/24 through 12/28/24

  • Caramel Swirl Pretzels (6-oz.) with best by dates 12/19/24, 12/20/24 and 1/19/25

  • Classic Yogurt Pretzels with best by dates 12/11/24 through 1/8/25

  • Cookies & Cream Yummy Chow with best by dates 12/6/24 through 1/23/25

  • Enrobed Pretzel Rods (8-oz.) with best by date 1/22/2025

  • Favorite Day Bakery White Fudge Mini Cookies (7-oz.) with best by dates 4/4/25, 4/5/25 and 4/15/25 through 4/18/25

  • Frosted Munchy Medley Bowl (15-oz.) with best by date 1/3/2025

  • Frosted Patriot Frosted Pretzels with best by dates 1/2/25 and 1/3/25

  • Frosted Pretzels (6-oz.) with best by date 1/23/2025

  • Munchy Medley with best by dates 12/14/24, 1/3/25

  • Munchy Medley (4-oz.) with best by dates 12/25/24 through 12/28/24 and 1/19/25

  • Munchy Medley To Go (4-oz.) with best by dates 12/25/24 through 1/19/25

  • Munchy Medley (6-oz.) with best by dates 12/20/24 and 4/25/25

  • Patriotic Munchy Medley Bowl (15-oz.) with best by date 1/19/2025

  • Patriotic Red, White & Blue Pretzel Twists (14-oz.) with best by dates 12/13/24 through 1/15/25

  • Patriotic White Fudge Cookies (13.5-oz) with best by date 4/22/2025

  • Patriotic White Fudge Cookies (7-oz.) with best by dates 4/23/25 and 4/24/25

  • Peanut Butter Snack Mix (12-oz.) with best by dates 11/13/24 through 12/22/24

  • Peanut Butter Snack Mix To Go (4.5-oz.) with best by date 1/18/2025

  • Snackin' With The Crew! Mizzou Munchy Medley (7-oz.) with best by dates 12/18/24 and 12/19/24

  • Snackin' With The Crew! Tiger Treats (7-oz.) with best by dates 12/18/24 and 12/19/24

  • Star Snacks Chow Down with best by dates 12/6/24 and 12/7/24

  • Strawberry Yogurt Coated Pretzels (10-oz.) with best by dates 1/5/25 and 1/23/25

  • Sweet Smiles Yogurt Covered Pretzels (3.25-oz.) with best by dates 12/18/24 through 1/4/25

  • Vanilla Yogurt Covered Pretzels (10-oz.) with best by dates 12/18/24, 1/5/25 and 1/22/25

  • Yogurt Pretzel with best by dates 12/14/24 through 12/21/24

  • Zebra Fudge Cookies (7-oz.) with best by dates 3/20/25 through 4/30/25

  • Drizzled Caramel Corn (5-oz.) with best by date 1/22/2025

  • Drizzled Caramel Corn Snack Mix Bowl (12-oz.) with best by date 1/22/2025

If you have any of the above products on hand, dispose of them immediately or return to their place of purchase. While there are no illnesses connected to this recall, Salmonella infection can be serious for young children, adults over 65 and those who are immunocompromised. Common symptoms include diarrhea, fever, stomach cramps and, in more severe cases, prolonged vomiting and dizziness.
