Yes, this is a pizza place. Famous Oklahoma pizzeria to open giant Fort Worth location
Fort Worth needed more pizza. Right?
Ready or not, Oklahoma cult favorite Hideaway Pizza is about to build a 10,000-square-foot-plus pizzeria at 9800 North Freeway.
Hideaway is a legacy pizza company from Stillwater, Oklahoma, known as a favorite stop for fans going to or from Oklahoma State Cowboys football games.
The company has 23 locations including one in Texas at 5410 Texas 121, Plano.
Hideaway serves a choice of four pizza crusts — thin, hand-tossed, gluten-free or cauliflower — and a choice of 40 toppings, including all the usual items plus artichoke hearts, mandarin orange, Polish sausage and more.
The best-known menu item is the “famous” fried mushrooms. Hideaway serves more than 40 tons a year.
The Fort Worth location is next door to a Chuy’s Tex-Mex north of Heritage Trace Parkway.
Other pizzerias in the Alliance neighborhood include MOD Pizza, Pie Five and Piada, both smaller, and the larger Old Chicago chain restaurant.
The next Texas location for Hideaway will be at 2101 N. Hardin Blvd., McKinney.
The first location is at 230 S. Knoblock St, Stillwater.
