Yemen Houthis claim Saudi Aramco drone attacks

Yemen's Houthis have claimed responsibility for drone attacks - that saw two Saudi Arabian Aramco oil plants go up in flames.

One, the largest oil processing facility in the world.

Yemeni TV channel Al Masirah TV says the Houthis deployed 10 drones.

Adding the group has pledged to widen the range of its attacks on the kingdom - which leads a coalition fighting them in Yemen.

Authorities say the fires are under control, though the extent of possible damage is seemingly unclear.

The two sites were Abqaiq and Khurais.

The former contains the world's largest oil processing plant.

The latter, the country's second largest oil field.

Saudi state TV reported that the kingdom's, quote, "oil exports are ongoing."

Iran-aligned Houthi fighters in Yemen have launched attacks over the border, hitting Shaybah oil field with drones last month and two oil pumping stations in May.
