Yastremska suffers heartbreaking defeat to Russian at US tournament

Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska suffered a bitter defeat against "neutral" Russian Anna Blinkova in the second round of the WTA 500 tournament in San Diego, NV Sport reported on March 1.
Yastremska was leading 5-2 in the first set but allowed her opponent to take the game to a tiebreak, where Blinkova clinched the victory.
Blinkova dominated the court in the second set, ultimately winning 6-2.

Marta Kostyuk, the only Ukrainian left in the San Diego tournament, will face Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the quarterfinals.
