Move over, Color Of The Year-Yankee Candle is shaking things up by releasing their first-ever Scent Of The Year for 2019, announcing it January 15 at a launch event in New York City. The scent, called "One Together," is described in a press release as "a trend that revolves around the human desire to express individuality while remaining connected to and embracing the diverse world around us."

One Together is made with a scent that's never been used at Yankee Candle before: the Miracle Flower. It also features notes of amber, soft woods, suede, mandarin, nectarine, and sandalwood. This particular scent was chosen by a panel of outside trend experts spanning wellness, food, pop culture, and relationships, alongside the brand's own fragrance experts, of course. And as far as aesthetics go, the candles are packaged in a brand-new design with white glass and a gold lid to give it a sleeker look. It's being released in two styles: as a large classic jar, and as a large 2-wick tumbler.

I got to experience the scent firsthand at the New York City event, and I thought it was clean (but not soapy!), sweet but not in-your-face, and refreshing. I heard others in attendance describe it as both calming and invigorating. Overall, it's a lovely scent that's not overpowering, and an easy way to infuse your home with some springlike goodness if you're as sick and tired of winter as I am.

One Together candles aren't yet available to purchase, but they'll be at the brand's retail locations and go live on Yankee Candle's website on January 22. The scent, in its specialized packaging, will be available while supplies last, and both candle options will go for $29.50.
