Yang Hyun Seok says, "YG will introduce 4 new idol groups this year"
Head producer Yang Hyun Seok of YG Entertainment told that YG Entertainment will be releasing 4 new idol groups in 2014.
On January 26th, YG Entertainment's head producer Yang Hyun Seok had a press conference directly after BigBang's solo concert, and he said, "YG Entertainment will be releasing 4 new idol groups this year."
Producer Yang Hyun Seok said, "The atmosphere of YG Entertainment these days is just like when we were preparing Hwi Sung, Gummy, Big Mama, BigBang, and 2NE1's debuts. We will be introducing a great number of new groups this year."
Producer Yang Hyun Seok avoided mentioning further details about the groups as much as possible, saying, "Further informations are still classified."
While keeping his mouth shut, he also gave a slight hint. Regarding 'WINNER', who are predicted to be the first YG boy group to debut this year, Yang Hyun Seok said, "WINNER might make an official debut directly after 'WINNER TV' finishes if they get to debut with a digital single. However, I hope to get them to debut with a regular album. The members and our producers are doing their best in preparing songs for their debut album."
Regarding YG Entertainment's new girl group, producer Yang said, "I hope that we will be able to make their debut within the first half of the year."
YG Entertainment still has AKDONG MUSICIANS and 'WIN B' team, who are yet to release their debut albums, and many music fans are showing great curiosity for the other new idol groups that YG Entertainment will introduce this year.
Producer Yang Hyun Seok also received attention by mentioning about PSY's new album.
He told that PSY's new album is almost getting finished up, but also told that he will not hurry with a new promotion.
He said, "We had to rush a bit when we were releasing 'GENTLEMAN', because PSY announced that he would showcase the song for the first time during his concert. Thus, we will be taking all the time we need, but we will be able to release it within the first half of the year."
PSY's new music video has been one of the hottest issues among many fans, because of Snoop Dogg's casting, and producer Yang Hyun Seok said, "The music video was completed already. We are also preparing a number of other music videos with PSY, and a great number of other stars will be making appearances."
However, Yang Hyun Seok refused to tell which stars will be appearing on the music videos.
Meanwhile, BigBang's who recently finished their solo concert, also received attention by announcing that they will be coming back with a new album in the summer.
