Under pressure from President Trump, Elizabeth Warren finally released her DNA results, which show distant Native American ancestry.
The Massachusetts senator first faced criticism over her assertions about her heritage during her 2012 Senate race, with many questioning her statements.
Donald Trump later amplified the controversy, often referring to Warren as “Pocahontas.”
“I’ve got more Indian blood in me than Pocahontas, and I have none,” he said during an October rally.
He tweeted early Tuesday about her DNA test.
Pocahontas (the bad version), sometimes referred to as Elizabeth Warren, is getting slammed. She took a bogus DNA test and it showed that she may be 1/1024, far less than the average American. Now Cherokee Nation denies her, “DNA test is useless.” Even they don’t want her. Phony!

In an attempt to quell the heat before a possible presidential run, Warren submitted DNA test results with an analysis by a Stanford University genetics professor.
The report concludes there’s “strong evidence” Warren’s DNA “contains Native American ancestry.”
However, it also says her ancestor was “likely in the range of 6-10 generations ago”, which some argue could mean the difference between 1/32 and 1/1,024 Native American.
Senator Warren responded to the president saying, “Trump can say whatever he wants about me, but mocking Native Americans or any group in order to try to get at me — that’s not what America stands for.”
Last July, POTUS said, “I will give you a million dollars to your favorite charity, paid for by Trump, if you take the test so that it shows you’re an Indian.”
When reporters questioned Trump on her DNA results and his $1 million payment, he replied, “I didn’t say that. You better read it again.”
Trump added that he hopes Warren runs for president because she’d be easy to beat.
