Wyo. gov says he had productive trip to Canada

Wyoming governor traveled to British Columbia and Alberta for a weeklong trade mission

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) -- Wyoming Gov. Matt Mead says he had a productive trip to Canada.

Mead traveled to British Columbia and Alberta for a weeklong trade mission and returned last week.

He toured oil sands mining and other energy related operations, including port facilities where coal is shipped overseas.

Mead was accompanied by officials from several Wyoming companies — High Country Fabrication from Casper, Trihydro Corporation, of Laramie, and Western Research Institute, also of Laramie.

Mead says he wants to help increase trade between Wyoming business and Canada.
