WVDEP collecting data from the state for water report

CHARLESTON, WV (WVNS) — The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP) is now accepting any type of data collected from water in the state to add into the 2024 Integrate Report for water quality.

This report goes by the guidelines of the federal Clean Water Act, which is reviewed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) when assessing lakes, wetlands, and streams in the Mountain State.

Any data that is collected from January 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022 will be evaluated by the WVDEP as long as it is submitted by Monday, April 30, 2024. Any previously submitted data will automatically be evaluated and put into the Integrated Report. The WVDEP will also get data from the USEPA Water Quality Portal.
