World-famous and Henderson-based DJ Steve Aoki takes delivery of Cybertruck

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Anyone who sees a Tesla Cybertruck driving down the Las Vegas strip might want to take a second glance; it could be notable southern Nevadan and world-famous DJ Steve Aoki, who just took delivery on his own copy of the angular EV, a social media post showed Tuesday.

Tech reporter Sawyer Merrit reposted Aoki’s video on X. In the original Instagram reel, Aoki shows off his new ride, saying, “I just got a Cybertruck. Look at this beaut.”

In the video, the Henderson-based DJ takes a look at his new ride on camera. According to the manufacturer’s website, the truck, a “Cyberbeast” edition of the new Tesla vehicle, is estimated to cost approximately $99,990.

“It’s crazy, man; I can’t believe I bought this,” Aoki said in the video.

The vehicle is estimated to be able to travel 320 miles on a full charge, go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.6 seconds, and tow 11,000 pounds. With a top speed of 130 miles per hour and 845 horsepower, the Cybertruck is EV manufacturer Tesla’s first foray into the pickup truck market.

“This feels like you’re driving a tank,” Aoki said while sitting in his new vehicle. “This is epic.”

The DJ, who was born in Florida but now lives in Henderson, has tour dates around the world on his calendar. He has several stops scheduled in Las Vegas, including an appearance at EDC Las Vegas 2024 in May.
