Whether you’re looking for your next job, or interested in changing careers, we invite West Virginia job seekers to register now for the May 1 Statewide Virtual Job Fair. Last month, we saw a record 1,124 job seekers register  to connect with the nearly 115 registered West Virginia employers.

Scott Adkins | Acting Commissioner of WorkForce West Virginia

More than 12,000 job seekers in West Virginia and more than 2,400 employers registered to be involved in the Statewide Virtual Job Fairs, and almost 6,800 resumes were submitted since their introduction in 2022. A list of participating employers, channels where attendees can log in and register, and a Job Seeker Training video are included in the Virtual Statewide Job Fair portal.

We invite West Virginia employers to connect with a diverse pool of talent from across the state through these Statewide Virtual Job Fairs.

Professional attire and a calm and clutter-free background is recommended for job seekers who attend the event due to the possibility of employers requesting a video interview.

Once employers register for the event for the first time, they can contact those who are looking for jobs by creating a “Virtual Booth,” the booth will then be available at following job fairs.

This is the best recruiting tool that we have right now. I can never go to an in-person event and make more connections.
