Worker hospitalized after trapped under equipment at Brook Park cemetery

BROOK PARK, Ohio (WJW) – A worker was sent to the hospital after investigators say he became trapped under a piece of equipment at a Brook Park cemetery Thursday afternoon.

Brook Park firefighters and police were called to Holy Cross Cemetery on Brookpark Road just after noon for reports of someone trapped.

According to the Brook Park Police Department, before first responders arrived, other workers were able to free him and start providing first aid.

Paramedics then stepped in and the worker was taken to a nearby hospital.

The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time, according to Brook Park police.

Police officials say the incident remains under investigation at this time. They expect to have more information available Friday afternoon.
