Waynesboro Area Senior High School performers are preparing for the musical “Into the Woods,” this year’s all-school production.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday, March 15, and Saturday, March 16, and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17.

A musical with composition by Stephen Sondheim and a story by James Lapine, “Into the Woods” weaves classic fairy tale stories into one piece, according to Claire Martin, producer.

“Act 1 ends with all of the characters experiencing the happy ending that we're familiar with - Cinderella gets her prince, Jack's family is rich with treasures from the Giant's kingdom,” Martin said. “But Act 2 reveals that our actions have consequences. The show is rich with many themes and morals, such as love and loss, hopes and curses.”

Waynesboro Area Senior High School students are featured in a variety of fairy tale roles in the musical ‘Into the Woods,’ the 2024 all-school production to be staged March 15, 16 and 17.
