You Won't Believe What Leonardo DiCaprio Wore as a Disguise for Coachella

Leo DiCaprio is known for his ability to shape-shift into whatever persona his movie requires: a man lost in uncharted woods in the 1820s Canadian wilderness, a villainous Mississippi plantation owner or an undercover cop who infiltrates a Boston mob. But one role we just discovered he’s not so great at? Covering up his own identity at this year’s Coachella Music Festival.

The 43-year-old actor wore cardboard 3-D glasses (yep, like the kind you had to wear when you went to see Avatar back in ’09) in an attempt to disguise himself this past weekend at the giant California music fest. He paired his recyclable fashion accessory with his usual gray hoodie and baseball hat, but there’s something so charmingly des gens, so surprisingly proletarian about a six-times-nominated Academy Award winner and one of the most critically acclaimed actors of a generation wearing 3-D glasses that it kind of, well, backfired.

Dear Leo: Did you learn nothing from Catch Me If You Can?
