If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman.

I think of that quote from Margaret Thatcher when I read about the amazing accomplishments of the women who have been named Enquirer Women of the Year. Hi, I’m Enquirer Editor Beryl Love.

The more than 500 women honored since the program debuted in 1968 come from all walks of life, but they share a common trait: they’ve made our community a better place through their hard work, perseverance and selfless philanthropy.

Nominations are now open for this year’s awards. If you would like to nominate someone who has made meaningful contributions to the greater good through her profession or volunteer efforts, click on this link and tell us why they should be part of this year’s class.

And mark your calendars – the annual Enquirer Women of the Year luncheon will be Oct. 24 at the Hard Rock Casino.
