Ex-Playboy Model Stephanie Adams and Son Dead After Jumping From New York City Hotel Balcony

Adams plunged to her death with the boy from a balcony of the Gotham Hotel, located at 46th Street and 5th Avenue in midtown, cops say.

A former Playboy model and her young son have died after she jumped from the 25th floor of a New York City hotel.

Stephanie Adams, 46, plunged to her death with her 7-year-old son, Vincent, from a balcony of the Gotham Hotel, located at 46th Street and 5th Avenue in midtown Friday morning at the height of the morning rush hour, cops say.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene, the NYPD said in a statement.

The woman was reportedly engaged in an antagonistic custody battle over the boy with her estranged husband, New York City chiropractor Charles Nicolai, according to The Associated Press.

The situation was so tense that Adams and Nicolai would pass the boy to each other at a local police precinct.

Adams was Playboy's "Miss November" in 1992, The AP reported. She posed in the magazine again in 2003.

The Gotham Hotel, which advertises itself as a uniquely New York Boutique Hotel on its website, is blocks away from Grand Central Terminal.
