The victim said she screamed, called 911 and shouted for her roommate to lock her room because someone was in the house. Becton tried getting into the second room but it was already secured so she fled the scene, according to court documents.

The victims told officers several items were missing, including paperwork, jewelry, handbags, wallets and debit cards. Police noted a car and its keys were also gone.

Surveillance footage showed someone outside the home matching Becton’s description, according to Metro police. An officer spotted the stolen vehicle running at a dead end on Trimble Street. After activating their blue lights, the officer said Becton ran from the drivers door toward a tree line. According to an affidavit, officers ran after her and told her to stop and she fell while trying to climb a hill and surrendered.
