Woman visits 7 wonders of the world in inspiring photo series
There is a big, wide world out there, but so many of us never get a chance to experience it.
After a string of bad luck and health problems, Megan Sullivan was inspired to travel her way through some of the most wonderful sites on Earth.
"I fell 50-feet climbing in Yosemite, got hit by a car and then diagnosed with skin cancer, all in one month," Sullivan wrote on her website. "Two weeks later, I decided to see the Seven New Wonders of the world in just 13 days with a new outlook on life: to live more now."
Luckily, Sullivan was able to recover from her injuries and underwent surgery for her diagnosis. After returning to full health, and over the period of 13 days, Sullivan traveled to 12 different countries for her 7 Wonders of the World project.

While some might have felt defeated by so many setbacks, Sullivan felt all the more determined to complete her dream project, accompanied by her new boyfriend at the time, Chris McNamara.
"I realized my three-year dream of traveling around the world, ten days before departure with three hours of planning and with some guy I’d known for two weeks," she wrote.
Along with her personal website, Sullivan documented her trip on Instagram and YouTube channel. Not only are her photos stunning, she also details her inspiring story behind each picture and provides helpful advice for travelers for planning and budgeting their own worldwide journeys.
