Man arrested for stabbing woman at Eugene bowling alley Friday night, police say

Eugene police arrested a man Saturday after he allegedly stabbed a woman Friday night at Strike City Bowling.

Eugene police and a Lane County Sheriff's Office deputy responded to the stabbing that was reported around 10:45 p.m. Friday, according to a police news release. The man apparently fled on foot, but was not immediately located.

The 53-year-old Eugene man was found a little after 5:30 p.m. Saturday in Creswell. He was arrested and taken to Lane County Jail on suspicion of first-degree domestic violence assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

The woman was transported to a local hospital to treatment. The investigation is ongoing.

The victim and suspect are known to each other, according to police.
