Woman in police custody after stolen car found near Las Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A woman was taken into police custody after officers attempted to stop the driver of a stolen vehicle near the Las Vegas Strip.

It happened on Thursday shortly before 2 p.m. when officers said they located the stolen car near Mel Torme Way and Spring Mountain Road. When officers initially attempted to stop the car the driver fled from police. Officers decided against pursuing the driver any further.

A short time later the car was found in the 800 block of East Twain Avenue where the woman was taken into custody.

No other information was released regarding the incident.
